Departure Escort

The New Orleans was designed by arcass, my collaborator on the Leonov series and a dear friend of too many years.
This was my contribution to the 2008 Traveller calendar. I had worked for quite a while on getting the New Orleans just right, consulting with arc, and was very happy her first print production was in the calendar Andrew Boulton at Traveller 3D does every year, all proceeds going to charity. I got to contribute two pieces to this years!

So here we see two small SDBs escorting civilian ships through a traffic corridor that passes close to the main population centers of the ocean-world Marianus, the four enormous arcologies in the background.
