The Ranger class Scout/Escort was a standout ship design of the FASA Star Trek roleplaying game. The design they published lacked detail, and was a TMP-era design. My friend Arcas did a much more detailed version of the ship, getting back to the Ranger's hypothetical Original Series roots
Long a favorite of mine, I finally decided to actually give a stab at modeling Arcas's design, and adding another layer of detail to the iconic ship. Enlisting Arcas's assistance, I've been working away at her. Here's the (almost finished) result.

Nicely done! The Ranger is one of my favorite classic FASA designs and I love seeing a TOS version of it. Have you ever released the files for this or considered doing so? I'd love to 3d print a model of this out for tabletop gaming.
