Among the Moons of Jupiter

Discovery prepares to "burn" its plasma drive for the last time, to enter into a transfer orbit that will lead to the Libration point between the volcanic moon Io, and Jupiter. Without the help of the ship's A.I., or his lost comrades, David Bowman must manually control the maneuver; a complex balancing act in one of the most dynamic gravitational environments in the solar system. Only then can he face the the cosmic enigma of the alien Monolith that has waited here for four million years.
